New Patients

Your First Visit

We make your first visit as smooth and stress-free as possible. Here's what to expect when you arrive and how to prepare ahead of time.

During Your Visit

What to Expect

Your first visit to River Street Dental involves a few steps so we can get to know you and your smile. Your appointment will include:

  • Medical history review
  • Blood pressure check
  • Oral cancer screening
  • Gum health and periodontal disease screening
  • Charting the existing condition of your teeth
  • X-rays if needed
  • Comprehensive exam

From there, you and Dr. Carroll will discuss what type of cleaning and dental treatments are recommended for you. We'll give you estimates for the services and you choose what to move forward with. Our front office team will schedule next appointments and work with you on payment arrangements.

Before Your Visit

What to Prepare

Being well-prepared for your appointment helps Dr. Carroll provide the best possible care and recommendations. Before your appointment, please gather the following:

Step One

Fill out your New Patient paperwork online before your visit, or arrive 30 minutes early to complete it in the office.

Fill Out Paperwork Online
  • Transfer your X-rays from your previous dental office — have them sent to team@riverstreetdental.net. If current X-rays aren't in our office at the time of your appointment, we'll take updated ones that day.
  • List all medications you are taking (on your paperwork, or bring a list we can copy)
  • Bring your dental insurance card — if you don’t have a card, bring the insurance company’s name, address, and phone number
  • Bring your driver’s license
  • Write down any questions you may have
  • Consider whether there is anything you would like to change about your teeth or smile
